A Vision To Improve the
Aviation Business
Founded by the Sawyer family—Perry, Faron, and Claude—and raised in the heart of Abaco, our aviation journey began long before our company did. Growing up as pilots, aviation has always been in our blood. In 1997, with the invaluable support of our father, Silbert Sawyer, we recognized the rapid growth of Marsh Harbour and its evolving international airport. With increasing jet and corporate aircraft traffic, we saw a unique opportunity to contribute to the future of aviation in the Bahamas.
We partnered with International Companies to launch a ground handling service, laying the foundation for what would become a full-service aviation company. As Marsh Harbour expanded in the early 2000s, so did we—first by securing property, then constructing a tarmac apron, followed by a hangar, and eventually establishing a full Fixed Base Operation (FBO).
By 2004, we were fully operational as a family-owned and operated business. While aviation was familiar territory, FBO services were a new venture. Through strategic partnerships and a commitment to learning, we built a strong foundation in aviation safety and management.
Customer service and safety have always been our top priorities. Early on, we recognized the need for professional training and teamed up with NATA Safety 1st, adopting their Professional Line Service Training (PLST) program. What began with VHS tapes evolved into a robust online certification process that every member of our customer service team completes.
Safety Standards
Safety is the cornerstone of everything we do. From ground handling to customer service, our operations are built on internationally recognized safety protocols and continuous training.
Our commitment is to provide every client with secure, reliable, and professional aviation services, every time.
Hurricane Dorian:
Our Story of Resilience
On September 1st, 2019, Hurricane Dorian—a catastrophic Category 5 storm—struck the heart of Abaco with sustained winds of 185 mph and gusts exceeding 225 mph. It was one of the most powerful hurricanes to ever hit the Bahamas, and it left a trail of devastation across Marsh Harbour and the surrounding communities.
Our aviation company was hit hard. We lost all of our hangars in a matter of hours. But through it all, our Fixed Base Operation (FBO) facility remained standing with minimal damage—a testament to the strength of our infrastructure and our commitment to safety.
Despite the destruction, we acted quickly. Within days, we resumed operations and became a vital part of the relief effort. We donated fuel to incoming aircraft supporting rescue and humanitarian missions, including the United States Coast Guard. We provided shelter for NGOs and relief teams, and converted our FBO into living quarters for our staff for nearly two years while we rebuilt.
The road to recovery was long, but we were determined. What we estimated would take seven years, we accomplished in five. Today, our facilities are fully restored, and we are operating at 100% capacity.
Hurricane Dorian tested our limits—but it also proved our resilience, our dedication to our community, and our unwavering commitment to aviation excellence.

Since partnering with Zig Zag Aviation in 2019, our combined efforts have significantly elevated the quality and efficiency of aviation services at Marsh Harbour International Airport. As an extension of our family’s aviation legacy, this collaboration has allowed us to expand our capabilities and better serve the growing needs of commercial airlines.

This partnership continues to be a cornerstone of our growth, allowing us to deliver exceptional service to airlines and passengers alike.
